News, Reopening, School Uniform
07-August-20

Dear Parents/Carers

Further detailed guidance by the Department of Education on restarting school is due towards the end of next week. Following that, I will give you more information on our plans for the pupils’ return in the new term.

With regard to school uniform, I appreciate that there will be more washing required on a daily basis. Also, to begin with, there will be no formal PE lessons, but rather opportunities for pupils to exercise in the school playground. Pupils may therefore wear either their normal school uniform or PE uniform on any given day. As ties are the least likely item of clothing to be washed, there is no requirement to wear a tie until further notice.

We hope to resume formal PE lessons and return to wearing the proper full school uniform later in the year, but this is entirely subject to developments with Covid-19.

Details on the suppliers for our school uniform are available on the school website http://stjosephsps.co.uk/Page/School-Uniform/3662/Index.html

Kind regards

Mr Donaldson
