Another busy week of sport in St. Joseph's!
On Tuesday, P4, 5, 6 and 7 travelled to Campbell College to compete against their Junior School for the Brian Dempster Cup. This annual charity event is organised by Danny Allen in memory of his late grandfather. A magnificent total of £1363 was raised for the Cancer Fund for Children. After a host of football matches between the various teams, Danny added up all the goals and Campbell emerged as this year's winners.
On Wednesday it was time for our annual Basketball Blitz, held in our PE hall. Twelve teams, comprising of a total of ninety-nine pupils from P5-7 took part, with The Heat emerging as victors from their final against The Spurs. In addition to the winners' and runners'-up prizes, Jan and Maya from P7 were awarded player of the tournament trophies.
An incredibly fun-filled few days of sport and a wonderful sum raised for an excellent cause. Well done to all our participants!
