School Closed for the Easter Holidays
A reminder that classes will finish on Thursday 14 April at 11:45 for P1A – P7A and 12:00 for P1B – 7B. The school reopens for the Summer Term on Monday 25 April.
Drop-off and Pick-up arrangements
To avoid congestion in the Church car park and at the Holland Drive entrance to the school, the current drop-off and pickup times will remain in place until the end of the school year.
To ease the flow of traffic, we are now requesting that, after Easter, P3 - P7 pupils are dropped off at their normal school entrance gate, where they will make their way directly to class. A member of staff will be supervising at each entrance to the school grounds. Parents (apart from P1 & 2 parents) do not need to enter the school grounds. We would appreciate it if you continue to use Seesaw for any daily communication with the class teacher. The current pickup arrangements remain unchanged.
From September, the drop-off and pickup arrangements will be as follows:
- All classes will arrive between 08:45 and 09:00.
- P1, P2 & P3 will finish at 14:00 from Monday – Thursday and at 13:45 on Friday.
- P4, P5, P6 & P7 will finish at 15:00 from Monday – Thursday and at 14:00 on Friday.
- Break times and lunchtimes will be modified to ensure that the amount of teaching time in class remains the same.
Staff Matters
As you may well be aware, Thursday is Mrs Devlin’s last day teaching in the school. On behalf of Governors, staff, parents and pupils, I would like to thank her for all her hard work, professionalism, dedication to her job and good humour during the last 11 years. She will be sadly missed in St Joseph’s, and we all wish her well in her new role.
Lost Property
Please have a look in the Lost Property Basket (under the shelter in the main playground) before the end of term, as all unclaimed items will be cleared out over Easter.
