Dear Parents/Carers
I hope that you and your family are keeping well and looking forward to the pupils returning to school on Wednesday 30 August. All pupils will return on a full-time basis on that day, except for our Primary 1 pupils, who have been given their own individual start dates.
Restart Arrangements
The drop-off and pickup arrangements for the school remain the same as last year:
- All classes will arrive between 08:45 and 09:00.
- The same designated entrances and exits remain in place for each year group.
- P1, P2 & P3 will finish at 14:00 from Monday – Thursday and at 13:45 on Friday.
- P4, P5, P6 & P7 will finish at 15:00 from Monday – Thursday and at 14:00 on Friday.
To ease the flow of traffic around the school, we are requesting that P3 - P7 pupils are dropped off at their normal school entrance gate, where they will make their way directly to class. A member of staff will be supervising at each entrance to the school grounds. Parents (apart from P1 & 2 parents) do not need to enter the school grounds.
Any children arriving late (i.e., after 09:00) should proceed to the School Office, using the Holland Drive entrance to the school.
School Dinners
There will be no school dinners on Wednesday 30 August and Thursday 31 August and all pupils should bring a packed lunch on those days; school dinners resume on Friday 1 September.
This year, we are continuing to promote healthy school break and encourage the pupils to eat either a piece of fruit, yogurt or bread-based snack.
Please remember to avoid sending in any products that contain or ‘may contain’ nuts.
Communication
School news and notices will continue to be communicated through Seesaw, the news section of the school’s website at http://stjosephsps.co.uk/ and the accompanying iClass app. If you have not already done so, please download the app and create an account to keep up to date with all the latest information.
PE and School Uniform
Pupils should wear full school uniform from 30 August, with PE uniforms being worn on designated PE days. Please ensure that all clothing is clearly labelled.
Breakfast and Kidz clubs
The Breakfast and Kidz clubs will recommence on 30 August. For more details on this please contact Caroline in the school office.
