News from Home!

Thank you everyone for your news, photos and videos this week. This has been an impressive week for the boys and girls from St. Joseph’s Primary School!

In Primary 2, Finn has been playing pairs with his high-frequency words outside in the sun. What a great idea! Grace in Primary 2 has been learning the days of the week! She has been listening to songs, playing games and putting the days of the week in the correct order. She has worked really hard. Well done, Grace! Brodie in Primary 2 has also been working hard. Primary 2’s topic this term was Space and Brodie made a marvellous rocket!

In other exciting news, a girl in Primary 4 had a special celebration this week. It was Tessa's birthday! Tessa ate lots of cake, had a video call with her friends and is looking forward to having her party when things are back to normal. We hope you had a great birthday Tessa!
Jacob in Primary 5 also celebrated his birthday last week! This was a very different celebration this year, however his class made it extra special as they sent individual birthday videos to him. One played the piano, and another even baked a cake. How special a day can be when kindness touches it! Well done Primary 5A and we hope you had a very happy birthday Jacob!

Daithí from Primary 5 and his little sister have also been thinking of ways to spread kindness and made hugs. They safely delivered these to their grandparents who displayed them on their window for everyone to see!
Lily and Grace (also from Primary 5), have been busy growing seedlings for their new vegetable patch!

Last week, brothers Matt and Tom impressed us with their sporting skills. This week the brothers have been improving their cooking skills. What fantastic life skills the boys have developed! Have a look at their delicious meals in the photos at the bottom of this page.

Primary 7 will celebrate their last Easter with us this year and we wish you all a very happy one at home.

Finally, this week, we leave you with some Irish Dancing Stars! The Dennison School of Irish Dancing has sent us these great videos. The girls in the Irish Dancing Class have been busy, obviously doing lots of schoolwork but lots of dancing and fitness too. The girls have been taking part in weekly challenges and have also been practising their dancing at home. Anna in Primary 4 completed her 1-minute plank challenge and Isla has been practising her light jig.

Can you join the challenge? Watch Zoe and her mum show us how it’s done! Get inspired by their 1-minute star jump challenge.

Thank you for all your news and photos boys and girls! Have a wonderful Easter!
