Learning from home is not always easy and there have been lots of changes to the way we live our lives. The boys and girls at St. Joseph’s Primary School have been looking after their wellbeing by connecting with their friends and school staff in new, exciting ways. This week we held our first virtual assemblies. We have been keeping active through going on walks and engaging with online PE lessons. Staying healthy and being active is great for our physical health and fitness and it has also helped us to improve our mental wellbeing. We’ve been doing lots of activities at home we have enjoyed such as arts and crafts, reading books, playing games and learning new skills. Well done boys and girls!Tom from Primary 1 has been helping in the garden this week, clearing all the leaves and feeding the hungry birds in their trees! Miss McKinney cannot wait until Tom is old enough to join the Eco Club! Omar and Alia have also been enjoying the great outdoors and have had great fun outside in the fresh air. Marie from Primary 1 has been learning new skills. Look at her amazing word building and numeracy work! This superstar from Primary 2 wrote an acrostic poem about dinosaurs! All the staff and pupils were astonished by your remarkable poetry skills Cali.
Has anyone heard of Tim Peake? Tim was the first British ESA astronaut to visit the International Space Station. He answered P5A’s question about how to relax in space in a virtual conversation this week. Wow! What do you think Louis from P5A enjoys? We were all impressed not only by the quantity of artwork he has completed but also by the quality. Fantastic!Lucy, also from P5A, has been taking part in an activity she enjoys too. We cannot wait to get back to school to enjoy your new skills Lucy. All the staff are hoping to taste some of your delicious pizza! We hope it tastes as nice as it looks.Primary 5B have also been busy this week. Look at some of their amazing work below. It looks like they have a class bursting with talent!
