News from Home!

It’s your favourite time again everyone! This week we bring you news from some of our very special boys and girls!

Yesterday we received news from Neeya in Primary 5! Neeya’s class were involved in a project called Poetry in Motion and the children all submitted their favourite poems to be included in a special anthology. The poems were also entered into The Seamus Heaney Award for Achievement. Neeya's poem was chosen as highly commended by the judges, out of hundreds of entries, many of whom were much older. Check out the article posted on the website yesterday to listen to Neeya read her poem!

This week, Mr McBride’s Primary 6 class have been working exceptionally hard. Two pupils, Hannah and Tiernan, have decided to share their talents with us! Both Hannah and Tiernan have been developing their sketching skills and have created some interesting artwork! Their talents do not stop there as Hannah has also created an enthralling movie trailer while Tiernan and his brother Darragh have been developing their remarkable sporting skills. A super effort from our Primary 6s!

Do you like cycling? Finn in Primary 2 has developed a brand-new skill this week! Look at his fantastic abilities! This really proves that hard work pays off.

There has been lots of happy news from Primary 1 this week too. Primary 1B held their very own Zoom meeting. Some children took time out on a sunny Sunday to chat to their friends. They showed, told or sang something! They even sang “Happy Birthday” to Lorcan, who turned 5 in April!

Two famous brothers from St Joseph’s, Matt and Tom, have surprised us again this week. There is no stopping these two! This week they raised £290 for Belfast’s Food Bank! What an incredible achievement!
