Earlier today, St.Joseph's suffered a narrow 2.1 defeat at the hands of St.Matthew's Primary School. St. Joes took the lead through a penalty from James M, following a foul on Daithi. The game remained tight and exciting, with St.Matthew's equilising early in the second half, before scoring the winner towards the end of the game. In the final moments, St.Joseph's almost snatched a draw, but the ball rebounded of the the post following great play from Darragh. A great game on a beautiful, sunny afternoon.
Many thanks to our opponents for travelling up to play in this friendly fixture. Thanks also to Danny Allen for refereeing and as always to Campbell College for being terrific hosts.
