I am pleased to report that the recent spate of festive attacks on the school has been brought to a successful conclusion, thanks to the diligent police work of Detective McBrearty.
Working together with Mr Donaldson in an undercover sting, Detective McBrearty swooped to apprehend the tiny terrors and two senior leaders of the criminal gang in the P1 classrooms.
Their final, festive act of mischief involved defacing images of several well-respected members of the school staff ... and Mr McDowell.
This led Mr Donaldson to suspect that it might be an 'inside job'.
Working undercover, he bravely ventured into the Foundation Stage corridor to investigate further, with Detective McBrearty close by to make the arrests. The red-faced crooks were caught red handed and Detective McBrearty took great pleasure in hauling both felons off to Holland Drive PSNI station. Following advice from their solicitors, both offered full confessions and were remanded into custody. As a handcuffed Mr Fay was being bundled into the police van, he was heard muttering, "I would have got away with it, if it hadn't been for those kids!"
Mr Donaldson thanked Detective McBrearty for her hard work and stated that the school community could now enjoy a peaceful Christmas.
