P7 are currently involved in the Titanic Schools Project with Orangefield Primary School. Terry Madill from the project recently visited St.Joseph's and along with some helpers gave the boys and girls a real insight into life in Belfast at the time of Titanic. Our visitors arrived in full costume, taking on roles of some of the key figures in the Titanic story. The brought with them some interesting artifacts from the shipyard, some dating back over 100 years! The P7 pupils were captivated by this very informative and interactive presentation and are looking forward to the culmination of the project when we will visit the Titanic Quarter on 31st May.
Many thanks to Terry Madill and his colleagues for sharing their vast knowledge and passion, and helping to enhance our teaching of this topic.
